How To Enjoy The MV Logos Book Fair Experience At Malacanang Cebu
Problem: You've heard of the Logos Floating Book Fair Ship ever since your childhood. This book store travels all over the globe to sell books about culture, leadership, stewardship, art, the classic literature selections and everything else that gives you a positive non-self-conscious view of the world.
You are 28 years old, and you're not a book lover more than you are a traveler, and so you want to go to a place that reminds you of your childhood. Where do you go?
Solution: Go to The Logos Book Fair in Plaza Independencia, Cebu (Google It) and enjoy the decent collection of literary classics and biblical books sold. You will get the feel that the ship is a humanitarian endeavor by a Christian church group, but there are Star Wars and writer's journals and fine-point Sharpees sold in the book fair and so you feel that this book is very welcoming of secular/atheist factions. You will like it here because although you might not end up buying anything, like me, you will get to take photos of a ship where books are the stars.
There's nothing here that you can't buy in National Bookstore, other than the souvenir key chains, pens, and notebooks. Entrance fee is P20, and you should buy their Sharpee Pen because last time I checked theirs is only P25 and in National Bookstore it's P42. Buy lots.
Criticism: There are no books by David Foster Wallace, James Salter, Lydia Davis, J.D. Salinger and Jonathan Lethem in the book fair. I hope there is an explanation why.
Open: Tuesday to Saturday at 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
Sundays: 1 p.m.9:30 p.m.
