Cebu Litfest, Toni Gonzaga and The Iron Throne in Ayala
You don't read fiction or any book for pleasure because you're way way too cool and beautiful to be smart. Nerds are people you can fool to make your school projects and David Foster Wallace literary school homework, you believe. But everyone you know starts to isolate you and ge away from you and even in Trivia Nights you're always the last one to leave the room with nobody to help you clean up the confetti. So you try to cut yourself because you're not smart enough to figure out that there is an art in being shallow that doesn't make you want to cut yoursel and exit the world. You are told there is safety and comfort in words. But you don't know where to start readibf them?
Solution: Go around Ayala and you might find your favorite local pop singer Toni Gonzaga perform life and whom you don't want to be like because she wears tattered jeans now or get to hear people in the literary world and Cebu Lifest talk about how you should never write for awards or money or anything resembling real life survival; or better yet, get to sit in an Iron Throne made of children's toys. How fun.
